Red Hat Openshift Linux Administrator - Precision Resources : Job Details

Precision Resources, a division of the Trimarc Group Inc., is currently searching for a Red Hat Openshift Linux Administrator for one of our Alabama clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining our clients Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and Enterprise Linux systems. This role involves ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the infrastructure, as well as supporting the deployment and operation of containerized applications. This is a remote position. Qualified candidates must have a US Citizenship or Green Card. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Third party corp. to corp. candidates will NOT be considered. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Linux system administration and at least 2 years with Red Hat OpenShift. Proficiency in managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration. Experience with automation tools like Ansible. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) but not required. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters. Perform upgrades and patch management. Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, including user management, system updates, and security configurations. Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker within the OpenShift environment. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to OpenShift and Linux environments. Implement and maintain security best practices for both OpenShift and Linux systems. Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Ansible to streamline operations and deployments. Work closely with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless application deployments. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. US Citizen or Green Card holder only Client will not provide sponsorship.
