The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) is dedicated to strengthening economic and community vitality by fostering growth and innovation. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orientedRedevelopment Tax Credit Programs Managerto join our Tax Credit team.
This role actively manages the Redevelopment Tax Credit Program for Brownfields and Grayfields, and is instrumental in administering the City Development Board, which assists cities with annexation and other city development adjustment processes.
Responsibilities:
Brownfields and Grayfields Program Management:
- Lead the Redevelopment Tax Credit Program for Brownfields and Grayfields. Chair the Brownfield Advisory Council, review applications, coordinate meetings, and present recommendations to the IEDA Board.
- Review program applications and claims for completeness and accuracy. Conduct detailed reviews of expense proofs and issue tax credit certificates upon approval.
- Conduct site visits of completed projects to ensure compliance and gather data for reporting.
- Provide program information, status reports, and respond to inquiries.
City Development Board Administration:
- Act as liaison for cities making formal action requests of the City Development Board. Works with them to submit requests to Board and ensures compliance and adherence to Iowa Code and Administrative Rules.
- Host monthly City Development Board meetings and public hearings.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a major emphasis in the fields of research, planning, economics, finance, public relations, business, corporate finance, journalism, or marketing and four years of full-time experience in specialized technical support work which included responsibility for interpreting laws, rules, and regulations, and/or securing compliance with them; or compiling and evaluating statistical, historical, economic, business, financial or related technical program data;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of the required experience for each year (thirty semester or equivalent hours) of the required education.
