Redi-Rock Laborer - Newport Sand & Gravel : Job Details

Job DutiesTo understand and observe all of Carroll Concrete Co./Newport Sand & Gravel Co., Inc.'s policies and procedures including but not limited to the Employee Handbook, SAFE Policy, Safety Manual and Drug Free Work Place Manual.Primary Duties and Responsibilities1. Maintain concrete block forms (structurally) 2. Strip, clean, oil and close forms3. Stack blocks for loader operator, stack in yard if needed4. Clean plant daily, sweep, keep area tidy and safe, power wash as needed5. Vibrate concrete forms with 20lb. backpack vibrator6. Maintain stock pile of rebar hooks or loops for blocks7. Maintain a positive attitude towards work and the team8. Maintain and clean kitchen area daily 9. Follows appropriate environmental rules and regulations10. Fully understand and follow the company's philosophy Secondary Duties and Responsibilities1. Other duties and tasks as directed2. Work in a safe and efficient manner at all time3. Always represent the company in a professional manner 4. Notify Production Manager immediately of any work-related injuries or accidents (or Safety Director if Production Manager is not available)Each worker is responsible for his/her own safety and for the safety of others around them.Work safely and report unsafe conditions to your supervisor.Desired QualificationsSkills: 1. Must have clear written and verbal communication skillsExperience: Similar work experience is helpful but not necessaryRestrictions: 1. Must be able to lift and/or maneuver around a facility and grounds a minimum of 50lbs. throughout the workday, as required2. Load/unload/carry materials and tools multiple times throughout the workday3. Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job efficiently and safely4. Must be able to work flexible hours as necessary.
