RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on commercial refrigeration equipment to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
• Clean, adjust, and calibrate systems to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
• Diagnose malfunctions in refrigeration systems and components using various tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts, provide detailed root cause analysis for client documentation.
• Test and ensure proper functioning of repaired equipment.
• Handle refrigerants safely and responsibly, adhering to environmental regulations and industry best practices.
• Perform leak detection and repair, as well as recharge systems with the appropriate refrigerants.
• Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and hours spent.
• Provide detailed reports to clients and management regarding equipment status, recommended repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and address any concerns.
• Provide technical assistance, training and guidance to clients on the proper use and maintenance of their refrigeration systems.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Stay informed about industry safety standards and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Commercial HVAC or refrigeration experience
• Experience with supermarket refrigeration systems a plus
• Clean driving record with willingness to travel up to 2hrs
• Ability to work 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling to accommodate families
• Ability to participate in an on call schedule - not more frequently than one rotation per month.
