Position Details:

  • Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Location: East Coast (preferably Northeast)
  • Travel: Required up to 30% of the time (50% during training)

Key Responsibilities:

As the Regional Executive Director, you will be at the forefront of managing multiple behavioral and mental healthcare facilities, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with facility leadership to optimize patient care, enhance operational efficiency, and algin with the organization's long-term strategy.
  • Financial Stewardship: Work with the CFO and CEO to establish key financial metrics, ensuring fiscal health and sustainability in your region.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily facility operations, maintain high performance standards, regulatory compliance, and process improvements.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to state, federal, and accreditation standards, and collaborate with compliance teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to facility management teams, fostering professional growth and strong leadership pipelines.
  • Mission Advocacy: Champion Banyan's mission, vision, and values, ensuring they are deeply embedded within facility cultures.
  • Strategic Marketing Collaboration: Work with the Marketing team to drive brand visibility, patient engagement, and community awareness.
  • Public Representation & Community Engagement: Represent Banyan at public forums and strengthen our relationships with stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and local communities.
  • Continuous Improvement & Performance Management: Leverage performance metrics to implement quality improvements, enhance patient outcomes, and ensure long-term operational success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in behavioral or mental healthcare settings.
  • At least 5 years in a Senior Leadership role, preferably overseeing multi-site healthcare operations.
  • Strong ability to analyze market trends and execute strategic decisions to foster organizational growth.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively represent Banyan to internal and external audiences.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, overseeing financial and operational performance, and leading high-functioning teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient confidentiality laws, and Joint Commission standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field
  • Clinical License e.g. LCSW, LMHC, LMFT.
