Our service allows our team members to focus on one patient at a time providing care where the patient calls home. While this often is a house or apartment, we also provide care at nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. If a patient's care needs are too complicated for home care or require a higher level of attention from nurses and other experts, we can provide care at one of our Hospice Care Centers.As a Regional Flex Nurse, you will:

About the role:This Regional Flex RN position is responsible for providing nursing coverage where needed in areas throughout the region. The nurse will require cross training to include ability to care for patients in a routine home care, general inpatient or continuous care setting as needed. The RN provides skilled professional nursing care to the patient/family/caregiver as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with regulations as established by the State Board of Registered Nursing, the patient, and the policies of Bluegrass Care Navigators. This position reports to the AVP of Hospice Operations. Requirements

• Is a graduate of an accredited school of professional (registered) nursing.
• Is currently licensed as an RN through the State Board of Nursing.
• At least two years' general nursing experience is required with current hospice, home health, medical, surgical or critical care experience. Has experience with providing good pain management, IV skills preferred.
• Skilled in nursing practice, able to cope with family emotional stress and tolerant of individual lifestyles.
• Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
• Understands hospice philosophy, principles of death/dying.
• Employees will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements, with personal auto liability insurance of $100,000/$300,000 in bodily injury coverage.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Have satisfactory references from nursing school, previous (or current) employers and/or professional peers.
• Have excellent observation, good nursing judgment and communication skills. Ability to provide good written documentation in a timely manner.
• Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
• Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation and has ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
• Can work as needed for a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation, and provide services at a variety of locations in and among defined regions in the BCN service area. Locations may include but are not limited to home environments, nursing facilities and inpatient units.

Salary Description $65,160-$82,536 per year
