Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the company
- Recommends, supports, and participates in education services, programs education, and training, including orientation of new Directors of Nursing. Encourages and facilitates the professional advancement of employees by affording opportunities for further education and experience.
- Provide support, guidance, and management of regulatory surveys.
- Supports and develops Nursing/Resident Care Services in coordination of the Director of Nursing selection process, work assignments, performance evaluations, and staff development
- Maintains continuing quality assessment and improvement analysis and evaluation of patient care delivery and communicates with CNO and RDO on the activities/issues of Nursing Care Services
- Initiates and participates in problem-solving, policy-forming for Nursing/Resident Care Services. Maintains close coordination with all departments to ensure continuity and collaboration of services.
- Participates in policy decisions that affect Nursing/Resident Care Services in the facilities
- Responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of clinical performance improvement and QAPI through benchmark and Casper collection and analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Three years experience as a Director of Nursing
- Five years management experience with experience in long-term care.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in the state.
- General knowledge of professional basic nursing, restoratives and personal care services.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and correspondence.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation, and interaction with coworkers.
