PURPOSE
The Regional Operations Director is a multi-unit management role with oversight of 6-8 restaurant locations in the greater Los Angeles area. The Regional Operations Director is responsible for development of manager teams to deliver exceptional results in all facets of the restaurant operation including sales, profitability and labor controls, safety and sanitation, facilities maintenance, and guest experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide hands-on leadership to ensure our service standards and product quality are consistently executed.
- Hire, train, and develop all management for the region with the support of the HR Department; build cohesive management teams that communicate effectively, properly execute company standards, meet operational and financial objectives.
- Serve as the communication link between the corporate office and the management teams in the region, ensuring an effective flow of information in all directions.
- Ensure consistent adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Consistently monitor and evaluate restaurants in the region by means of direct observation and by conducting restaurant audits on service, cleanliness, and restaurant administration. Follow up to ensure development and implementation of appropriate action plans to address gaps in performance.
- Ensure that effective performance management is executed throughout the region at all levels.
- Maximize employee satisfaction through sound management practices and minimize turnover of both hourly and management employees.
- Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor's in hospitality and/or equivalent work experience preferred but not required.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid Driver's License.
- 21+ years of age.
- Possession of or the ability to possess all state required work cards.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
- Strong ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Must demonstrate commitment, dedication, and self-motivation.
- Minimum 5 years restaurant management background in a full-service restaurant environment.
- Minimum 2 years at multi-site operations management in a full-service restaurant environment.
- Advanced working knowledge of restaurant operations, financials, and control systems.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, train, and develop effective management teams.
- The ability to diagnose operational and employee problems and find practical solutions that work.
- Solid performance management skills and the ability to maximize accountability for your team to deliver results.

- 60% domestic travel.
