About the Position: Personal Training Development Manager We are seeking a Personal Training Development Manager to support the Regional Fitness Director in managing our Personal Training Team. The Personal Training Development Manager plays an integral role in overseeing the growth and education of our personal trainers. Your role will be to ensure our Personal Trainers deliver exceptional client experience, maintain high standards, and contribute to the overall success of our fitness department. You will work closely with the management team to create and implement training programs that align with our company's mission and enhance the capabilities of our personal training staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Trainer Development: Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive training program for personal trainers, focusing on skill development, certification support, and ongoing education.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Provide mentorship and guidance to new and existing personal trainers, ensuring they receive the support and resources needed to succeed.
- Program Evaluation: Continuously assess and improve training programs based on feedback, industry trends, and performance metrics.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure personal training services consistently meet or exceed company standards by conducting performance evaluations, shadowing trainers, and reviewing client feedback.
- Staffing and Recruiting: Assist in hiring and on-boarding new personal trainers, ensuring alignment with company culture and standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop strategies for driving personal training engagement and revenue growth.
- Customer Experience: Partner with the customer service team to address client concerns, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction with personal training services.
- Professional Development: Stay up to date on fitness trends, certifications, and industry best practices to ensure the department is at the forefront of training innovation.
- Reporting: Track performance metrics and report on the progress of individual trainers, team performance, and the success of development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in management, personal training, fitness instruction, or a related field (minimum of 3 years)
- Certifications from recognized fitness organizations (e.g., NASM, ACE, NSCA, etc.).
- Prior experience in training or managing personal trainers or fitness staff is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of fitness programming, nutrition, and overall wellness principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills.
- Passionate about developing people and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- CPR/AED certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters or bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Experience with fitness management software or scheduling tools.
- Background in performance-based training and advanced fitness techniques.
- Prior experience with business development or driving revenue growth through fitness programs.
