Advanced Agrilytics is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to join our Iowa/Missouri Grower Direct team! The RSM oversees sales and business development within the Iowa/Missouri region. This role is key to driving revenue growth, managing sales teams, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring that the company meets its sales objectives in the region. The RSM will play a crucial role in driving business growth and ensuring customer success through the delivery of agronomy solutions. This role is suited to someone with strong leadership, sales, and agronomy expertise who can balance business development with the technical needs of clients. The RSM will be responsible for providing support throughout the region, including Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and Minnesota.Advanced Agrilytics is an agronomy services company focused on unlocking the potential of every acre through direct-to-farm agronomic guidance, unbiased spatial research and sub-acre environment understanding, delivering on the promise of precision agriculture. How you will help us grow:Sales Strategy and Planning: •Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on agronomy products and services. •Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring the achievement of revenue and market share objectives. •Analyze regional market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities. •Create and manage the sales budget for the region, including forecasting and expense control.Team Leadership and Management: •Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives or agronomists within the region. •Set individual sales targets and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to the team. •Foster a positive, results-driven team culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.•Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans to improve team members' skills and effectiveness. Customer Relationship Management: •Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including farmers, co-ops, and distributors, ensuring their agronomic needs are met. •Oversee customer accounts, providing solutions and recommendations based on agronomic data and product knowledge. •Handle escalated customer issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution. •Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention by delivering value-added agronomic services. Sales Performance and Reporting: •Monitor regional sales performance, tracking key metrics such as revenue, customer acquisition, retention, and profitability. •Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement. •Use data and analytics to refine sales strategies and improve sales team performance. Product and Service Promotion: •Work closely with marketing and product teams to promote new agronomy products, technologies and services. •Develop and implement field demonstrations and educational workshops to drive product adoption. •Stay informed on the latest agronomic trends, product innovations and industry regulations to provide up-to-date advice to clients. Market and Competitive Intelligence: •Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and new business opportunities. •Gather competitive intelligence to ensure that the company maintains a competitive edge in the region. •Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams on customer needs and market demands. Skills, competencies and experience you bring: •Sales Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire current or future sales teams to meet and exceed targets. •Customer-Centric Approach: Strong focus on customer needs and delivering solutions that enhance crop productivity and farm profitability. •Technical Agronomy Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of agronomy, crop management, and precision agriculture tools and technologies. •Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze market data, sales performance, and customer feedback to inform decision-making. •Communication and Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate contracts and build long-term partnerships. •Problem Solving: Ability to resolve complex customer issues with practical and innovative solutions. •Bachelor's degree in agriculture business, Agronomy or related field. •At least 7+ years of experience in sales, marketing, account management or agriculture. •Strong business acumen, account planning and resource management skills. •Strong results orientation and drive - ability to hold a team accountable, help prioritize resources and drive decisions. •Strong understanding of the agriculture industry, marketplace dynamics and grower needs (Strong agronomy understanding is preferred). •Ability to work in a lean environment and be resourceful.•Must be willing to travel throughout designated region.•All applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
