The primary responsibility of the In-Cab Instructor (ICI) is providing over-the-road training for new hire drivers with less than six months of class-A experience. The ICI will share the truck for the duration of the training period. The ICI may also periodically perform refresher training for experienced drivers and remedial training for drivers on a driver development plan.

- Inclement weather CMV operation
Supervisory:
- Provide complete, accurate and timely documentation of students' performance
- Conduct weekly evaluations of students' progress and report progress to the Training Department
- Establish truck rules and expectations
- Perform corrective coaching

Requirements
- 5 years of verifiable, preventable accident-free experience operating a Class A commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce
- Previous in-cab training experience preferred
- Completion of a two-day ICI certification class
- Maintain acceptable safety, operations, shop, and training performance
- Attend quarterly ICI meetings
- Continuous training via online sources and in-person classroom events
