MLG Capital is a private real estate manager with a 37-year track record of delivering exceptional returns to investors through its differentiated tax-efficient strategies. MLG is seeking to hire a Regional Vice President who will have the opportunity to lead fundraising business development for Texas.

The Regional Vice President will be responsible for developing the strategy and execution plan for raising capital within Texas. This position will play a critical role in bringing MLG Capital's private real estate strategies to the market. The business development strategy will be primarily focused on building relationships with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), Family Offices, and High Net Worth Individuals.

Essential Functions:

  • Source and manage strong relationships with RIAs, Family Offices, and High Net Worth individuals within Texas.
  • Partner with senior leadership team to develop relationships with regional contacts within National Accounts and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Fundraising leadership team to develop a sales plan and communicate progress towards that plan.
  • Manage an Assistant Vice President within Texas and partner with them to execute the sales plan.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of MLG Capital's offerings and communicate benefits effectively with clients and prospects.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork with internal business units including other regional teams, National Accounts, Investor Operations, Marketing, and Acquisitions.
  • Maintain detailed records of prospect statuses and interactions with target accounts within the CRM.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in finance, real estate, or similar field).
  • 5-7 years of successfully raising capital for alternative investment strategies in Texas.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required.
  • Strong existing relationships with target investor types in Texas.
  • Strong presence in meetings or over the phone and quickly able to establish trust.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized.
  • Experience utilizing a CRM to maintain relationships (Salesforce a plus).
  • Ability to travel within Texas.
  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to operate office machinery; including but not limited to: telephone, computer, copy machine, fax machine, printer, and mobile phone. Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 4 hours) and use a computer for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds on an occasional basis. Ability to travel 5-10% of the time via automobile or airplane (occasionally overnight) to real estate locations.

    Working Conditions:

    Open office workstation environment, quiet to moderate noise levels.
