The RVP - Boutique & Lifestyle Hotels reports to the SVP of Asset Performance and will be responsible for overseeing the boutique and lifestyle division for Peregrine Hospitality Group. This role leads and supports a team of hospitality professionals to achieve superior guest, owner, and associate results. Areas of oversight include operations, finance, sales, revenue and human resources. The properties include dynamic boutique and lifestyle hotel offerings, and the RVP will ensure we maintain and build our market presence.Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience with mid-size full service and/or multi property hotels.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Has direct operational oversight of a portfolio of boutique and lifestyle hotels.
- Provides effective people leadership of assigned hotels by attracting, motivating, developing, rewarding and retaining top talent.
- Evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically, reports these results to the SVP Asset Performance and COO.
- Consistently and proactively measures hotel performance (Sales, Revenue, Market Share, GSS, GOP, EOS) to ensure hotel exceeds target goals.
- Guides and oversees the preparation of property and corporate department budgets and forecasts.
- Responsible for ensuring all hotels meet the Peregrine/Brand Guidelines for service, quality, training, and product. All hotels must pass annual and bi-annual inspections.
- Conducts monthly Business Reviews with each General Manager to ensure focus on areas of opportunity and develops actions plans to improve performance.
- Restructuring of current property operations to consolidate duplicate functions and better align overlapping responsibilities across the division.
- Identifying and implementing strategic initiatives at regional and property level.
- Strong focus on branding, programming and innovative positioning across all aspects of the business.
- Developing operational efficiencies that improve profitability.
- Build a Talent-Based Organization through higher-level team member selection, development and other TBO Practices.
- Ensure guest/team member satisfaction through implementation and reinforcement of KSLR's 4 Keys to Creating Guests for Life and Standard of Excellence Pocket Guides and the Designated Coach program.
- Requires the exercise of considerable managerial skill as position involves frequent decisions, meeting of deadline, negotiations of contracts of vendors, analytical ability and the planning, organization development and coordination of work projects.
- Establishes and maintains positive civic, community, governmental and local business contacts, and relations.
- Closely monitor occupancy, rates, and demand forecasts; and make recommendations concerning current and future rates and business mix.
- Participate in the development of sales strategies aimed at increasing volume and market share and investigate potential opportunities for revenue optimization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements for all employees.
