Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Dietitian in Albany County!

Key Responsibilities for our Registied Dietician:
- Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to effectively integrate nutrition into personalized resident care plans.
- Complete the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and contribute vital information to care plans.
- Provide nutritional counseling and dietary education to residents and their families.
- Modify menus and implement dietary changes using food service software.
- Support departmental policies and deliver training to dietary staff as needed.
- Attend resident care plan meetings to develop comprehensive and individualized care strategies.
- Observe food preparation processes and participate in meal rounds.
- Assist with food preparation, cost control, and staffing needs within the kitchen.
- Conduct routine evaluations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Advise on necessary diet modifications or nutritional supplements for residents.
- Ensure all dietary orders from physicians are adhered to by kitchen staff.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and supervise kitchen staff.
- Participate in administrative and departmental meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Dietetics.
- Registered Dietitian (RD or RDN) or Certified Dietitian (CDN) preferred; candidates with 1+ year of experience are encouraged to apply (training available for the right candidate).
- Membership in the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with food service software and meal tracking systems.
- Familiarity with electronic health records.
- Strong knowledge of food and nutrition issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
