Registered Dietitian - Part time
Key Responsibilities:
Nutritional Assessment:
- Conduct detailed assessments of patients' dietary habits and nutritional needs.
- Analyze lab results and health histories to develop individualized nutrition plans.
Meal Planning:
- Design and implement customized meal plans based on individual health goals, dietary restrictions, and preferences.
- Educate clients about proper nutrition and dietary choices.
Patient Education:
- Provide counseling and education to individuals or groups on nutrition-related topics.
- Develop educational materials and resources.
Collaboration:
- Work alongside healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and outcomes.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Track and evaluate patient progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and outcomes.
Research and Continuing Education:
- Stay updated with the latest research and trends in nutrition and dietetics.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain licensure and certification.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Completion of a supervised practice program (e.g., dietetic internship).
- Passing the national examination for RDs.
- State licensure or certification as required.
