About the Role We seek a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to join our Nutrition Services Team and help bring our life-changing program to more New Yorkers. The RDN provides nutrition education and counseling clients, their families and caregivers to address individual needs based on unique diagnoses. The Nutrition Services Team at God's Love We Deliver is at the core of our award-winning meal delivery program, helping to define the range of nutritionally-customized (and delicious!) meals we cook from scratch and providing critical guidance to our severely ill clients. • Assess nutritional status and develop comprehensive nutrition care plan for a range of clients.
• Plan and track dietary modifications to relieve specific nutrition-related symptoms associated with illnesses such as cancer, HIV/AIDs, and Multiple Sclerosis,prescription drugs, and food intake requirements and restrictions.
• Provide outreach to hard-to-reach and under-served communities through nutrition and cooking workshops, lectures, and education materials.
• Assist with research to build the Food as Medicine movement, and write and contribute to God's Love publications.
• Help guide interns in learning how to support clients like those at God's Love.

About You You are highly self-motivated and empathetic, with a strong desire to provide support to clients living with a serious illness. You are looking for a collaborative, team-oriented environment, and you are energized by providing nutrition education to clients with varied medical conditions. In addition, you meet the following requirements: A BS in Nutrition Science with an emphasis on community nutrition, public health and/or nutrition education Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with maintenance of current registration A minimum of two years' prior experience in nutrition counseling For this role, we prefer: An MS in Nutrition Science with an emphasis on community nutrition, public health and/or nutrition education Bilingual (English/Spanish)
