Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State; and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorder.Substitutions: a bachelor's degree in nursing may substitute for one year of post licensure clinical nursing experience; and a master's degree in nursing may substitute for two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience required for Registered Nurse 2 (Psychiatric).Duties Description As a Registered Nurse 2 (Psychiatric), you would provide clinical consultation and training on all aspects of psychiatric nursing; and plans, supervises, and provides nursing care to individuals with mental illness in facilities and programs operated by the Office of Mental Health.Notes:1. If you fail to maintain your license and/or registration once you are appointed, action will be taken to remove you from the position.2.
