Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Diagnostic Treatment Center (DTC). The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in phlebotomy, EKG administration, and outpatient care. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, administering treatments, and ensuring proper patient education. This role requires collaboration with physicians and other team members to maintain accurate records, manage supplies, and ensure a safe clinic environment. Must hold a current RN license and certifications in IV Therapy, Phlebotomy, and Basic Life Support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and other procedures (e.g., venipuncture, catheterization).
- Administer medications and treatments under PCP direction.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on care techniques.
- Ensure equipment and medication supplies are in good condition.
- Maintain accurate patient records and report critical findings to physicians.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality assurance activities.
- Oversee infection control efforts and supervise nursing attendants.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Experience: At least 1 year in acute care, ambulatory care, or CHHA within the past year.
- Certifications: IV Therapy, Phlebotomy, EKG interpretation, Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted RN license in New York State.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Proficient with computers.
Additional Duties:
Manage clinic supplies, conduct safety inspections, and coordinate prescription orders. Perform PPD tests, immunizations, and emergency care when needed. Other tasks as assigned.
