**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Nuclear Stress Test**

**Location:** Westchester County, NY

**Schedule:** Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

**Position Type:** Full-time

**Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic outpatient cardiology clinic team. This clinic is affiliated with a major health system in Westchester County, NY, and offers a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The RN will play a key role in performing and monitoring nuclear stress tests for our cardiology patients, ensuring the highest level of care, safety, and professionalism.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Perform and assist with nuclear stress tests for patients under the direction of cardiologists and medical staff.

- Monitor and assess patients during stress testing procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.

- Administer medications and IVs as required during stress tests.

- Provide patient education on the purpose and procedure of nuclear stress tests, including post-test instructions.

- Review patient histories and ensure proper preparation for testing, including patient assessments and screening for any contraindications.

- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions, procedures, and observations in the electronic medical record.

- Work closely with the cardiology team to assess and respond to any patient complications or emergencies during testing.

- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic operations.

- Maintain infection control standards and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices in line with health system policies and regulatory requirements.

- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to foster a positive, supportive, and efficient care environment.

**Qualifications:**

**Education:**

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

**Licensure/Certifications:**

- Current New York State RN License required.

- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification required.

**Experience:**

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a cardiology setting, with hands-on experience in performing nuclear stress tests.

- Strong clinical knowledge of cardiology procedures, particularly nuclear stress testing protocols.

**Skills/Abilities:**

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient care and education.

- Ability to assess patient conditions and make appropriate clinical decisions under pressure.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to document and follow protocols accurately.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
