The role involves working with cardiac surgery and heart failure patients in a critical care setting. Candidates should have specialty experience and education in managing ECMO, LVAD, Impella, CRRT, IABP, IO, Intubation/LMA, Arterial Blood gases, Blood product transfusions, Rapid Infusers, Chest Tubes/Thoracotomy procedures, and Biphasic Defibrillators.Applicants must have basic nursing competencies including managing NGT/OGT/Lavage, Restraints, G-Tube/PEG Tube and feedings/medications, arterial line insertion and management, and central line management. The position requires floating within departments as needed and working every other weekend and holiday.
