Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Unit Name: Emergency Department Shift: 12 Hr Nights (36 Hr Guarantee) Shift Time: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Duration: 13 weeks Location: Saranac Lake, NY 12983 Overview: The RN in the Emergency Department is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients from newborn to geriatric populations. This role requires quick and efficient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients experiencing medical emergencies. The nurse will work in a Trauma Level IV facility using Meditech as the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, covering all age groups from newborn to geriatric.
• Utilize BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications to manage patient care effectively in emergencies.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately using Meditech.
• Maintain personal scrubs of any color as per dress code requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of ED experience - Required
• Experience with newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations - Required
• One plus year of travel nursing experience - Required
• Meditech experience - Preferred

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS through AHA - Required
