• Provide direct patient care to individuals with diverse medical needs, from trauma to medical emergencies, assessing their condition and delivering appropriate interventions.
• Perform rapid assessments of patients' conditions upon arrival, including monitoring vital signs, collecting medical histories, and initiating care protocols.
• Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed, while also monitoring for potential adverse reactions or complications.
• Work closely with emergency physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care for all patients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Accurately document all patient assessments, treatments, and progress in Epic (Excellian), ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide patients and their families with education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

Experience:

• Previous ER or critical care experience is preferred.

Licensure:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of New York is required.

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.
