Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - EndoscopyUnit: Endoscopy - CC 105208010Shift: Day, 5x8-Hour (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM)Job Duration: 13 WeeksLocation: Rochester, NY 14626-4182Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for GI and Endoscopic procedures by conducting assessments, explaining the procedure, and ensuring proper preparation (e.g., fasting, medication management).
• Assist during endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and other advanced GI procedures.
• Monitor patients post-procedure, providing care and support during recovery from sedation and any adverse reactions.
• Provide education to patients regarding post-procedure care, medications, and any lifestyle changes or dietary adjustments needed.
• Accurately document patient assessments, procedural notes, and recovery observations in the Epic electronic health record (EHR).
• Work closely with the Endoscopy team, including gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in on-call shifts as needed, ensuring availability to support emergency procedures or additional patient needs outside regular hours.

Experience:

• Advanced procedure experience required, including knowledge of GI and Endoscopic procedures.
• Experience in a procedural nursing environment with a strong emphasis on patient monitoring, sedation, and recovery.

Licensure:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of New York is required.

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
