This is a seasonal position at Camp Webb within the Information and Education Division. TheRegistered Nurse will provide professional nursing services to patients in state facilities and may superviseLicensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Practical Nurse Applicants/Registered Nurse Applicants or unlicensedassistive staff in the implementation of nursing policies and procedures. This is an Interim position. An Interim position means a position established to address a one-time orrecurring need of less than nine (9) months duration and exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintains licensure for the length of employment to perform medical treatment and administermedications, as prescribed, to Camp Webb campers and staff.
- Intervenes when emergency care is required.
- Promotes health maintenance and prevention of illness for campers and staff at Conservation Camp Webb.
- Maintains essential documentation in medicine administration logs, medical treatment logs, and incidentlogs/reports as medication is administered to campers and/or staff, medical treatment is performed on campersand/or staff, and incidents occur which required a response by a medical professional.
- Supervises, teaches, delegates, and oversees other personnel in the performance of nursing careactivities such as Camp Director.
