As a Registered Nurse (RN) at The Harlem Center, you will be an integral part of our compassionate team, working to improve the health and quality of life of our residents.Position Overview:We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Harlem Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Harlem, NY. As an RN, you will play a key role in ensuring that residents receive the highest level of care and attention. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the health and comfort of our residents in a supportive, team-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities:Participate in administrative functions, including providing written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director and other team members.Prepare for new admissions, transfers, and discharges in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.Consult with residents, their families, and resident physicians to develop and update care plans.Observe, assess, and report any changes in residents' conditions and update care plans accordingly.Ensure that nursing personnel providing direct care are properly trained and qualified to perform required tasks.Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules to ensure medications are given as prescribed and treatments are carried out as planned.Conduct daily inspections of nursing service treatment areas to ensure they meet safety and cleanliness standards.Ensure that there is an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, and equipment.Use effective communication (upward, downward, and lateral) to maintain inter-departmental coordination and understanding of residents' needs.Remain flexible and prepared to perform any other services or assignments within the scope of practice of an RN.Provide direct nursing care as necessary, including administering treatments, medications, and assisting with resident care.Qualifications:Valid, current RN license.Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and terminology, including laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.COVID-19 vaccination is required.Preferred:New graduate RNs are welcome and encouraged to apply.Previous experience in long-term care is a plus.Familiarity with PointClickCare software is advantageous.What We Offer:$10,000 Sign-On BonusCompetitive pay scaleWeekly payrollMedical and dental coverage401(k) retirement planPaid time offCEU-eligible training programsOngoing leadership and professional development opportunitiesDedicated and supportive local leadershipApply Today!If you are a compassionate RN looking for a rewarding career where you can make a difference in residents' lives, the Registered Nurse (RN) position at Harlem Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is an excellent opportunity.
