As a leader in home health care, we help kids achieve their best lives at home and in their communities while providing our employees a fun and rewarding place to work.* Job Title: Registered Nurse* Location: Indianapolis, IN* Hours: Monday- Friday | 8am-5pm | On Call as needed |Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) who is also capable of performing essential duties typically associated with a Respiratory Therapist. In this unique role, you will provide comprehensive patient care while assisting with respiratory treatments and interventions.* Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with respiratory conditions, evaluating their health status and needs.* Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.* Respiratory Treatments: Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including nebulizer therapy and oxygen administration, as directed.* Monitoring: Regularly monitor patients vital signs and respiratory status, documenting changes and communicating with the healthcare team.* Patient Education: Educate patients and families on respiratory health, treatment options, and self-care techniques.* Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of all nursing and respiratory therapy interventions.* Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes in respiratory services.* Collaboration: Work closely with Respiratory Therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.* Supportive Care: Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families throughout their treatment journey.Qualifications:* Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licences.* Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.* Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.* Experience in respiratory care or respiratory therapy training is preferred.* Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.THE COMPANY:Pediatric Home Service is a pediatric home health agency that has provided high quality DME and nursing services to children that are medically fragile since 1990.
