Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least 6 months of RN experience and hold a valid NYS RN license for a minimum of 6 months. This role involves planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing activities, conducting daily rounds, and ensuring continuity of care through effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Endorse, interpret, and enforce the objectives and procedures of the facility and the Nursing Department.

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate the activities of all nursing personnel within the assigned area.

  • Conduct daily rounds.

  • Ensure continuity of care by informing supervisors and staff of unit status and related matters through written reports and verbal communication.

Essential Skills

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

  • NYS licensure as an LPN or RN

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • 6+ months RN experience with license

Work Environment

The position is located in a 450-bed rehabilitation hospital near Manhattan Beach in South Brooklyn. The facility is dedicated to providing quality care through diverse programs and services designed to support health and independence. The schedule requires agency staff to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week, with every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday). Day shifts are available from 6am to 2pm. Part-time staff must commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends. Free parking is available onsite, but there is no nearby subway access. Staff can take the Q train to the B49 or B1 bus.

The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $59.00
