Registered Nurse (RN)Location: Harrison, NY | Internal Medicine/Family Medicine PracticeSchedule: Full-Time, Day Shift (8:45 AM - 4:45 PM)Salary Range: $111,827 - $146,888

Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in a dynamic and patient-focused internal medicine/family medicine setting. The RN will provide direct patient care, collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, and deliver high-quality services while respecting patient autonomy, dignity, and cultural diversity.

This role involves using clinical expertise, critical thinking, and a commitment to professional growth to assess patient needs, plan care, and implement and evaluate medical and nursing regimens.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient-Centered Care: Deliver respectful, high-quality care that supports shared decision-making and informed consent, considering patients' diverse backgrounds and needs.
• Nursing Process: Utilize a holistic approach to address biophysical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and discharge planning needs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with peers, physicians, patients, and families to ensure coordinated and effective care.
• Leadership: Serve as a role model and resource for peers; assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
• Ethics & Standards: Uphold nursing ethics, patient rights, and infection control protocols; adhere to national safety goals and professional practice models.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in performance improvement initiatives, attend mandatory in-services, and meet competency requirements.
• Delegation: Appropriately delegate tasks to ancillary staff in alignment with state nurse practice acts.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required.
• Licensure: Active RN license/registration in New York State.
• Certifications: BLS certification (American Heart Association required).
• Experience:
  • At least one year of acute care nursing experience is preferred for roles outside of medical-surgical or step-down units.
  • Strong understanding of current nursing and medical trends, with the ability to integrate this knowledge into patient care.
