Successful completion and passing grade on the final exam is a condition of employment as an Operating Room RN.- Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.- Possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and the ability to provide quality patient care.- Ability to assess patients' needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual requirements.- Must recognize safety issues for self and others and be able to implement use of lifts to move patients safely.- Capable of functioning well in stressful situations with strong, creative problem-solving skills.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills are required.- Knowledge in using typical clinical equipment instrumentation utilized in maintaining a safe and aseptic environment in an OR/ASU setting.- Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills.- On-call required with a response time of 30 minutes.
