The role of the professional Registered Nurse (RN) reflects the values and priorities of the nursing profession. The RN is a proactive member of the multidisciplinary team that provides patient care. The RN recognizes that the role requires both clinical knowledge and the ability to provide comfort.
POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process and maintaining compliance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. The provision of this care is to be conducted in a collaborative manner with all members of the healthcare team in order to deliver quality care and the best possible patient outcome.

· Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation
· Analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues
· Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation
· Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes

· American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required within 30 days*
