Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse specializing in pediatrics at our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to pediatric patients ranging from newborns to adolescents. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for pediatric patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Your role will involve collaborating with parents and caregivers to educate them on pediatric care and assist in the overall care process. Key Responsibilities:
Assess and monitor the physical and emotional condition of pediatric patients, including vital signs, growth, and development. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions tailored to pediatric patients' needs, ensuring safety and efficacy. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for pediatric patients. Provide support and education to parents, guardians, and caregivers regarding pediatric care, including medication administration, nutrition, and hygiene. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Monitor pediatric patients during procedures and surgeries, ensuring their comfort and safety. Recognize and respond to changes in pediatric patients' conditions, taking appropriate actions to ensure their well-being. Foster a child-friendly and family-centered care environment, prioritizing the emotional needs of pediatric patients and their families. Collaborate with Child Life Specialists and other support staff to enhance the hospital experience for pediatric patients. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with pediatric nursing best practices. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards while maintaining patient confidentiality. Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice with a specialization in pediatrics.
- Current BLS and PALS certifications.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Prior pediatric nursing experience preferred, but not required for entry-level positions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Peds RN 13 week assignment Will do a 36 or 48 hr contract 12 hr nights, 7p-7:30a BLS, ACLS, & PALS required MA license Must have 2 yrs of current Peds experience May float to Adult Med Surg or Post-Partum as needed Charting: Meditech Expanse 10/14 start
