*About Our Client*Our client supports about 150 people in its community-based residential and day services. Often, residents transition from their family home, with many aging out of school-aged programs. Our Client is committed to providing dignity of life for all and continues to develop professional expertise in caring for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Currently, the agency operates 13 community-based residences in several Hudson Valley neighborhoods, along with its day habilitation program in lower Westchester County, community habilitation, and supportive employment services.*Job Summary*Our client is offering a Registered Nurse a rewarding opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing the well-being and quality of life for our people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. If you're a compassionate healthcare professional seeking purpose-driven work, this opportunity is for you!This will include:*Responsibilities*- Collaborative approach to departmental and organizational strategies- Administer treatment and/or medication as ordered by the physician- Keep abreast of and train the team on best practices for nursing/medical care- Act as liaison between Individuals and providers of health care in the community as well as with the consumer's family and with other professional and para-professional staff- Perform assessments, problem identification and resolution and evaluation of the consumer's healthcare needs- Visit each residence according to prescribed schedule to evaluate the individuals' physical conditions- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings- Follow federal, state and local governmental regulatory guidelines pertaining to a safe, healthy and clean work environment, reporting health and safety concerns to the supervisor.The candidate selected will be capable of communicating effectively, monitoring key healthcare indicators, and making confident, thoughtful decisions.*Experience*- Valid RN license in New York State- At least one year experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities- Technical expertise in rendering nursing care- Ability to work a flexible schedule- Working knowledge of OPWDD, Mental Health and other regulatory requirementsJob Types: Full-time, Travel nursingPay: $83,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Disability insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time offMedical Specialty:* Home Health* Medical-Surgical* Primary CarePhysical Setting:* Assisted living facilityExperience:* Nursing: 2 years (Required)* Working with people with disabilities: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:* RN License (Required)Ability to Commute:* Armonk, NY (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Armonk, NY: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person%{{advertiserId}}% %%{{category}}%%
