Summary:Responsible for the assessment and triage of children of all ages and for coordinating the delivery of care. Is an active member of the multidisciplinary team, working closely with physicians, clinical therapists, financial staff, and ancillary staff to facilitate those functions associated with arranging care and providing referrals. Researches, identifies, and implements initiatives and opportunities to improve multidisciplinary communication. Represents Children's Medical Center to patients and families, potential referral sources, agencies, and payers from initial inquiry through discharge from the service. Must be knowledgeable in regards to psychiatric and/or developmental disorders; evidenced-based assessments and treatments; and research methodologies. Provides patient-centered care with a strong focus on customer service.

Responsibilities:* Coordinates and provides clinical triage that is responsive to patient and family needs. Work with the team or directly determines whether patient's benefits provide coverage for services and communicates this information back to families. Educates patient families regarding programs, assessment process, scheduling, billing systems. Promotes the integration of research and clinical care by providing information to patients, families, and referral sources regarding opportunities to participate in research.* Participates in daily conference calls and weekly meetings to become a visible and contributing team member. Collaborates to determine need and communicates necessary information to appropriate professionals (i.e., clinical therapists, physicians, RN/MA, clinical manager). Continually communicates and follows up with patients and families, physicians, care team members, financial staff and support staff to facilitate coordination of clinical activities and improve the experience for patients and providers. Works collaboratively with other departments and services. Participates in development, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing revision of programs and initiatives to improve quality, continuity, and cost-effectiveness.* Develops an internal and external referral resource directory and provides referral advice to patients, families and providers. Serves as a consultant to patient families and providers, while collaborating to determine additional referral resource needs. Serves as a liaison to community resources. Provides feedback to referral resources in order to enhance continuity of care.* Develops a scheduling template and monitors the weekly occupancy for each provider. Communicates scheduling availability to support staff with the intent of maximizing occupancy. Reports weekly numbers to clinical manager and provides as necessary.* As appropriate by licensure, may provide individual evaluations and/or may lead or co-lead group therapy sessions.

WORK EXPERIENCE* At least 3 years related experience ReqEDUCATION* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Req* Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience PrefLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS* For Psychiatry, current licensure in the State of Texas an RN, LMFT-A, LMFT, LPC-I, LMSW, or LCSW. For Behavioral Health positions, licensure is preferred but not required Req* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements if providing individual evaluations and/or group therapy 60 Days, Req
