***RATES UP TO $43.50 PER HOUR PLUS EVENING AND WEEKEND DIFFERENTIALS***WE ARE LOOKING TO HIRE FULL TIME REGISTERED NURSES FOR ALL SHIFTS!The Phoenix Center for Rehabilitation & Pediatrics is a skilled nursing facility caring for both the geriatrics and pediatrics populations. We are currently seeking Registered Nurses for both units for ALL 3 shifts.At the Phoenix Center we maintain the highest standard of care and service for residents, families, and our valued employees. We work to maintain the highest standards of care.Benefits to working at the Phoenix Center: Competitive salaryMedical, dental, and vision benefits401K retirement planPaid time offDifferential payReferral bonusService awardsTransportation serviceResponsibilities as a Registered Nurse:Be able to handle complexity of a Pediatrics unitAbility to care for patients with NGT, GT, Tracheostomy, wound care, and temperature instabilityBe able to care for patients on a ventilator machinePlay an active role in direct resident assessment and careSupervise and coordinate nursing personnel in providing direct resident care in adherence to State and Federal regulationsDispense medication and perform treatments in accordance with Phoenix Center policies and proceduresFormulate individualized nursing care plans utilizing the nursing processAssess each resident daily and implement a change in the course of action as neededAssist the physician on rounds and ensure that pertinent information is communicated to and from him/her and orders are taken correctlyParticipate in the training and supervision of nursing personnelAssists with implementation of facility's Quality Improvement ProgramAssume responsibility for the identification of potential safety hazards and for the identification of non-compliance with facility guidelinesMaintain accurate resident care records and documentsAttend and participate in the resident care meetings, staff meetings, and in-servicesTake an active role in teaching and guidance to residents, families, and staffAssure that each resident's attending physician and family, or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in the resident's health conditionEffectively utilize the general principles of leadership and supervisionManage conflict through effective problem-solving and communication skillsAct calmly and efficiently in handling emergency situationsRequirements for a Registered Nurse:Completion of an accredited school of practical nursing Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of New JerseyThis position is a Union position.
