Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a House Supervisor for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. The House Supervisor ensures high quality, patient-centered care through direction and supervision of all house-wide functions during a designated shift. The House Supervisor participates as an active member of the nursing management team and assumes authority to manage all activities and personnel in conjunction with and in the absence of hospital administration.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will assume responsibility for supervision and coordination of all house-wide functions during the designated shift. Making decisions regarding patient care and staff management using established policies/procedures
• You will assign nursing staff to specific clinical areas within the hospital to meet patient care needs. Adjusts staffing by reassigning staff, assigning PRN and agency personnel and coordinating overtime, as needed
• You will act as a resource for employee health issues for unit charge/nurses/supervisors and other hospital supervisors
• You will function as a resource person for staff members. Provides coaching, feedback and training to improve performance and staff engagement

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, BSN required
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
• BSN preferred
• Current hospital experience working as a House Supervisor, Admin On-Site (AOS) or in management preferred
• 5 years' RN experience in clinical practice in an acute care setting is required
• Current BCLS & ACLS Certifications are required
• PALS and TNCC Certifications are preferred
