About the job Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery / Mother Baby (Days) - 53677 Confident Staff Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a temporary position in the Labor and Delivery/Mother Baby unit at a hospital in Glens Falls, NY. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process, as well as postpartum care for both mother and baby. Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and assess the physical and emotional status of mothers and newborns during labor and delivery, providing appropriate interventions as needed- Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques- Assist with the delivery process, including monitoring fetal heart rate and coaching mothers through contractions- Provide postpartum care and education to mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient- Document patient care and maintain accurate records- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in labor and delivery and mother-baby careQualifications:- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York- Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery and/or mother-baby care- BLS and NRP certifications- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care- Flexibility to work day shifts and occasional weekends as neededAt Confident Staff Solutions, we are committed to providing our employees with a positive and supportive work environment.
