Join the exceptional nursing team on MedStar GeorgetownUniversity Hospital's Neurotelemetry & Stroke Intermediate Care Unit (S3-2)in the recently opened Verstandig Pavilion, situated on Georgetown University'scampus. The cutting-edge Verstandig Pavilion is equipped with all-privateinpatient rooms and state-of-the-art medical equipment, ensuring an environmentthat prioritizes excellence in patient care. The Neuro IMC shares a floor withits own Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU), promoting seamless patient throughputbetween different acuities.This 28-bed unit is certified by The Joint Commission asa comprehensive stroke center, setting the hospital's treatment of strokepatients among the best in the nation. MedStar Georgetown is now one of only156 healthcare organizations in the United States to have earned thiscertification in highly-specialized stroke care. Our Neurotele/Strokedepartment is one of MedStar Georgetown's three collaborative inpatientNeurological/Neurosurgical Units which are part of our nationally renownedNeurosciences Center of Excellence. The patient population served here isprimarily Ischemic Stroke Patients, Post-acute Hemorrhagic Stroke Patients, andother Neurosurgery and Neurology patients requiring telemetry monitoring.*Various scheduling options available, including PRN*

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

  • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
  • Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.

This position has a hiring range of $38.00 - $63.30
