Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager - Verrazano Nursing & Post-Acute Center : Job Details

Verrazano Nursing and Post-Acute Center is actively hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager for the day shift, Monday-Friday for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Staten Island, NY. We are seeking an experienced RN to oversee all aspects of operating a unit within our healthcare facility, from supervising nursing staff to monitoring patient care. Extensive clinical experience a must, prior administrative experience and training in both nursing and administration.Duties of RN Supervisor:

• Oversee unit, treatment and medication administration

• Complete Resident care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing staff

• Establish a compassionate environment by providing support to Residents and their families

• Attend and participate in weekly meetings

• Conduct daily audits of all new admission charts

• Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor and other departments

• Investigate all incident reports and follow-up

• Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure quality of care

• Participate and report on patient conditions in risk management meetings

• Participate in annual evaluations of staff

• Maintains Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.

• Maintains safe and clean working environment

• Implement and interpret organizational policies and procedures, and nursing standards and regulations

Requirements:

• Must hold valid NYS RN License

• LTC Experience

• Required Basic computer skills

• Excellent communication skills
