Hutchings Psychiatric Center

Join the Hutchings Psychiatric Center Nursing Team

Hutchings Psychiatric Center (HPC) is currently recruiting Nursing Supervisors for night shifts.

Nursing Supervisors at HPC train, mentor, and supervise Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and direct care staff on inpatient units. All HPC Nursing Staff are vital members of a multi-disciplinary team focused on providing compassionate care and patient-centered, recovery-focused mental health services.

Nursing Supervisors at HPC:

  • Coordinate and oversee provisions of nursing care and treatment plans for inpatient units
  • Maintain and assess the quality of nursing care
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels for units
  • Participate in committees - Infection Control and Falls Committee
  • Inform staff of changes in policies, procedures, and trends in nursing practice

Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Nurse 1 Supervisor (Psychiatric)

  • NYS RN license and current registration; and
  • 3 years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorders.
  • Substitution: BSN can substitute for 1 year post-licensure clinical nursing experience; MSN can substitute for 2 years post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
