Job Requisition: REQ2650Employment Type: Full-TimeShift: Nights & WeekendsHours Per Week: 36 Hours/WeekHiring Range : $32.00-$42.80The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.Responsibilities: • Assesses patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.• Implements and monitors patient care plan and equipment. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities.• Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.• Educates the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.• Responds to emergency resuscitation team code.Education:• High school diploma/GED requiredLicensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s)• BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date • Licensed Respiratory Therapist • New York Board of Respiratory TherapyPreferred Credential(s) : • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) . Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRC). Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
