The Rehabilitation Aide provides safe and appropriate basic patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist. As a member of the rehabilitation team, the Rehabilitation Aide supports a safe and positive patient experience by assisting in the delivery of care and performing delegated multi-skilled basic patient care services.
The Rehabilitation Aide provides support and assistance to licensed Rehabilitation Therapists in areas such as (but not limited to): mobility, ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), movement and ambulation, and positioning. In addition, the Rehabilitation Aide may provide support to licensed Rehabilitation Therapists in areas such as therapeutic exercise programs, group exercise programs, mobility volunteer aide program, and swallowing studies.
This role contributes to the successful operation of the work area, and functions in accordance with all existing regulatory and company standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
Previous patient care experience preferred.
Familiarity with Rehab Therapy.
Nursing Assistants (certified and non-certified) or Allied Health students highly valued.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
Must be able to physically lift and move patients in a safe manner.
Able to work efficiently as a team member both within and across clinical settings to provide quality service through communication, cooperation and collaboration.
Open to change, feedback, and considerable variability in the workplace.
Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information.
Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use).
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Effective Communication and interpersonal skills.
