Job responsibilities as a Rehab Clerk/Transporter:

  • Transport residents to and from the rehab Gym/department and Nursing Unit
  • Performs predetermined office procedures such as filing, scanning/uploading and organizing rehab documents
  • Submits clinical updates to predetermined insurance companies as well as confirms successful transmission of faxes, mailings and portal uploads.
  • Assists in placing patient Durable Medical Equipment (DME) orders in preparation for discharge planning back into community. Follows up with patient, families and therapists on DME status.
  • Clean and organize work area and disinfect equipment after each treatment and at the end of each shift
  • Maintaining inventory and stock of treatment supplies.
  • Maintains linen supplies in treatment areas.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Ability to multitask and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Maintain approachability, energy and contributes to a positive and caring workplace culture. Provide outstanding customer service skills to each patient and family members.

Job Qualification:

  • Minimum high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Minimum of one-year previous experience in work related field of physical therapy or medical office, previous rehabilitation aide experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer, interdisciplinary, and patient service skills. Outstanding bedside manner. Excellent communication and listening skills. High emotional intelligence.

Shift: Full time 8am-4pm
