Rehabilitation Aide - Vernon Memorial HealthCare : Job Details

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Aide to join our team. This full-time position is Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm and plays a vital role in assisting our therapy department in providing high-quality patient care.Your primary responsibilities will include preparing patients for treatment by assisting with attire, positioning, and draping to ensure comfort, modesty, and safe treatment access. You will assist with treatment setup and cleanup, ensuring therapy areas and equipment are clean and ready for use. Additionally, you will support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, gait training, and other therapeutic interventions while promoting proper body mechanics. This role also involves clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and billing, as well as assisting with inventory and ordering therapy supplies. You will help clean and sterilize equipment, and contribute to quality control and recycling efforts as part of the department's Quality Plus Program.Ideal candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required. We are looking for individuals who are team-oriented, proactive, and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Certification as Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or enrollment in an undergraduate program in biological and/or exercise science, with a preference in Pre-Physical or Occupational Therapy or Pre-Physical or Occupational Therapist Assistant with current CPR required.We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, paid time off, and a 401K savings plan.
