The role of the Reheat Technician is to effectively monitor and optimize reheat furnace performance at Nucor Steel Auburn Rolling Mill. The Reheat Technician is accountable for trending furnace key performance indicators and keeping up with furnace state-of-the-art technology that will extend the life of our furnace. This role is responsible for all operational and mechanical aspects of the reheat area, as well as working with the electrical team to take care of all electrical needs. A successful candidate in this role will focus on safety, furnace reliability, cost control, and optimization. Additionally, a successful candidate will integrate with the production team seamlessly and will be required to work some shift work to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Supervisor and/or Manager recommendation

• Experience utilizing Microsoft excel

• Basic Industrial Electrical and Mechanical experience

• Prior Reheat Furnace experience

• 2 years' experience or technical degree with industrial furnaces or boilers
