The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and serve as an advocate for our customers. They will be innovative, highly organized, and have a measurable ability to drive business results while delivering superior service. You will be responsible for identifying and building new business opportunities in your assigned territory, including building a go-to-market business plan, identifying and qualifying leads, cold-calling c-suite executives, assessing customer needs, working with underwriting to evaluate risk, and driving new account engagement.General Responsibilities:Use insight and consultative selling techniques to teach prospective customers how they can leverage payment solutions to positively impact their businessLearn about local small and mid-sized businesses and their purchasing needsAnalyze the small and mid-sized business's total business spend to identify additional opportunitiesBuild broad and technical product knowledge and understand client-side processesAssist businesses with incorporating our products into their purchasing platformMaintain and update CRM systems regarding sales calls, pipelines, and closed salesAcquire net new customers by cold call prospectingInitiate and participate in educational and/or networking eventsEstablish relationships with “Centers of Influence” in the local business communityDrive incremental charge volume on the card with new clientsCompetencies:Project and process management, interpersonal influence, networking, and workflow management skillsExcellent needs-based oral presentation skillsAbility to secure appointments directly with clients and new prospectsStrong organizational, interpersonal, telephone, and PC skillsProven experience hunting for net new business selling in the fieldBasic Qualifications:At least 3 years of sales experiencePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree5 years of outside customer sales experience as an individual contributor1 year of experience working with small and mid-sized business customers1 year of experience in the financial industryProficiency using Salesforce.comProficiency using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are $105,000.
