Participates as a team member to provide a nurturing and consistent therapeutic treatment milieu.2. Maintains client confidentiality at all times.3. Remains awake and alert at all times to provide supervision of clients and assistance when needed in activities of daily living including clients' personal hygiene, household chores, laundry, and meal preparation.4. Participates in program activities and outings as assigned.5. Provides program orientation to clients as assigned in a timely manner. 6. Transports clients as assigned in a safe and timely manner. Signs vehicle in and out per agency policy. Completes inspection and documentation prior to driving. Ensures that vehicle remains clean and in good repair.7. Oversees medication room and monitors clients during self administration when assigned. Documentation and Quality Improvement:8. Documents relevant events in a factual, accurate, complete, and timely manner. Follows correct case note format. 9. Logs in medications on medication self-administration record and ensuresrequired documentation/initials are obtained at the time of self-administration when assigned. Interpersonal and Leadership Skills:10. Attends and participates appropriately in clinical staffings when requested to do so by the Program Supervisor.11. Responds to clients needs in an appropriate and timely manner.12. Demonstrates appropriate interactions with coworkers that promote a pleasant work environment.13. Obtains shift report from departing coworkers. Provides shift report to oncoming coworkers that is complete and alerts oncoming shift of relevant concerns.Support Duties:14. Completes additional job duties assigned by supervisor.15. Notifies an appropriate designated supervisor a minimum of two hours in advance of any program absence so that the supervisor can arrange program coverage if necessary.16. Monitors clients' belongings for items of safety concern and/or contraband. Removes any unsafe or inappropriate items and reports removal to the Clinical Coordinator.17. Identifies and reports to the Clinical Coordinator in a timely manner any safety concern or any unusual incidents in the work environment.18. Contacts Clinical Coordinator/Director in the event of an elopement, injury, or threatening condition.19. Screens visitors and telephone calls to ensure only approved persons are contacting residents as per program policy.20. Completes housekeeping duties assigned in a timely manner.Key ResponsibilitiesRequires excellent interpersonal skills.Requires satisfactory completion of CPR prior to reporting to the work site.Requires satisfactory completion of CPI within the first 30 days of employment.Requires ability to be covered under company insurance to drive a company vehicle for client transportation.Requires valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance. Requires completion of annual training in compliance with DMH standards.Previous experience working in a residential treatment setting strongly preferred Previous experience working with the A&D population strongly preferred.Minimum EducationHSMinimum RequirementsHigh School diploma or GEDLicensure/CertificationN/AApplications Close Date
