Mustbe physically capable to drive a school bus and evacuate students in an emergency. San Juan School District will provide training to acquire a CDL. Relief aides - School bus aides must be physically capable to assist students who ride a school bus and evacuate students in an emergency. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (include, but not limited to) Relief bus driver - Transports students to various activities; monitors loading and unloading activities; assures safe and complete de-busing of children; monitors surroundings and environs to detect hazards and prevent hardship; monitors activity and behaviors to assure safety; may administer routine discipline as needed to maintain order and safety. Relief aides - Assists driver and students in operation of lifts for wheelchairs and assisting students; maintains good student conduct on the bus; secures special equipment that may accompany the student. Salary Substitute Salary Schedule Relief Driver: $23.06/hr. Relief Aide: $14.38/hr. Hours Relief bus drivers and aides are on-call, as needed employees. Available to fill in for route drivers and bus aides.
