We are looking for a highly dependable team player to join our staff as Full-Time Food Processing Facility Line Relief Supervisor. Food processing workers are responsible for working in the food production line, monitoring the machinery during the mixing and extraction processes to make sure our product quality standards are being met.   • Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain staff by orientating and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections in malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperating within and between departments.
  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Create and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment.
  • Ensure regulated and proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing are worn by team members.
  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform other functions as directed.

RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:
  • Background or experience in the food industry
  • 1 year food manufacturing/production experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus
  • Be 18 years of age
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
  • Should have solid working knowledge of production processes
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated people/team management skills
  • Must be able to work with team members at all levels within the organization
  • Prefer fundamental skills with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours as required
  • Possess time management skills
  • Positive attitude and work ethic
  • Must be able to verbally communicate, understand, and write the English language
  • Spanish fluency a plus
  • Able to legally work in the United States
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Required to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Required to operate a computer and keyboard
  • Visual acuity to review written documents
  • Manual dexterity to operate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms
  • Life horizontally and vertically
  • Bend, squat, crawl, climb, stoop, push/pull exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently to move objects.
  • There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level.
  • Exposure to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and exposure to heat/cold temperature conditions.
