About the Job:

National Community Renaissance is committed to first class management of our properties which transforms their neighborhoods and the lives of our residents. The Relocation Specialist will assist with providing relocation management services to residents to ensure seamless relocation service is provided under the supervision of the Relocation Manager. This position will work with and support the needs of residents in support of their relocation programs and act as a liaison to Property Management and Development. The Relocation Specialist will provide support and back-up to team and management as requested.

The Relocation Specialists reports to the Relocation Manager or the Assistant Vice President of Property Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Relocation Manager with:

* Relocation Plans that comply with all state and federal legal requirements.

* Interacting with residents, management, development and construction.

* Submit Analyzing and determining displacees' qualifications for benefits and required services.

* Assisting displacees in finding suitable replacement residential properties.

* Identifying and helping displacees with moving costs.

* Advising residential and business displacees and processing their claims.

* Maintaining meticulous records that comply with all applicable federal, state and local reporting requirements.

* Planning and implementing the smooth relocation of residences displaced by rehabilitation projects.

* Ensuring impacted residents are aware of their rights and benefits during the process.

* Must assume proactive behavior and measures in order to properly represent National Community Renaissance and build relationships in the community.

* Comprehensive move management

* Consulting and coordination

* Other responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant VP of Property Management or Senior VP of Property Management.

* Planning, creating and distribution of relocation notices.

* Community Relations - manage ongoing positive relationships with all City staff and other local representatives and social service providers.

* Must attend Company sponsored events that relate to the development of the team, which, from time to time, may include overnight stays at locations away from the employee's home.

* Must be organized and proficient at time management.

* Proficient in English language in verbal and written communications.

* Relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions.

* Demonstrate initiative, personal awareness, professionalism, integrity and exercise confidentiality in all areas of performance.

* Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.

* Strong analytical, decision making, problem solving, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills required to successfully develop and foster client relationships.

* Proven ability to work independently and self-manage with high level of focus on client expectations.

* Capability to act professionally in a highly stressful environment while maintaining resident relations.

* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously including prioritization of issues and tasks.

* Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.

* Experience in PowerPoint and Yardi.

* Ability and desire to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.

* Bilingual preferred.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

* Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.

* Minimum two to five years working in a position with comparable responsibilities.

* Minimum two years working with affordable housing programs and in a customer service environment.
