Seeking an experiencedRemote Commercial Title Examiner.TheRemote Commercial Title Examinerwill oversee the completion of all title work for clients in your assigned market. The Title Examiner will search public records and examine titles to determine legal condition of commercial and vacant land.Responsibilities:Perform title examination and analysis requiring a high level of title expertiseReview and analyze survey maps, plats, and legal descriptions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.Receive all title searches for review and examination as appropriate.Examine title searches to prepare title commitments.Deliver title commitments to appropriate parties, including realtors, lenders, etc.Examines chain of title for commercial propertiesExamine and analyze title records such as leases, subleases, liens, judgments, easements, business entity documents and plot and map booksInterpret complex legal documentsVerify detailed ownership reports and abstractsPerform survey reads on commercial projects, prepare responses to objection letters, prepare pro forma policies and endorsementsPrepare and review reportsPrepare title commitments, update title commitments and make necessary revisionsMust be able to map metes and boundsServe as a resource to the examinations team on title questions.Maintain a strong working relationship with underwriting counsel.Address all client requests and parties associated with the transaction in a timely manner.Job Requirements:Working knowledge of real property laws, examining and underwriting policies and procedures, title insurance policies, endorsements, services and pricingKnowledge of NY, NJ, PA commercial real estate mattersAbility to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive mannerAbility to operate in an environment with tight deadlines and strict standardsAbility to communicate effectively with clients, orally and in writingA minimum of 3 years of Commercial Title Examination experienceExcellent Benefits!If this sounds like the type of opportunity you see yourself transitioning into next, contact Julie Gross at605-###-#### .
